Why 'Word of Mouth'?
Word of Mouth Guiding & Outfitting was built on the belief that hunting is about more than filling a tag.
The name reflects the way hunting knowledge, stories, and traditions have always been shared. It also reflects my belief that the best recommendations come from people who have actually lived the experience.
Over the years, I've learned that while a successful hunt is important, so are the experiences that come with it. Time spent in wild country, the challenge of the hunt, and the opportunity to experience Alaska in a way few people ever do are just as important as the harvest itself.
My goal is to give every hunter an experience they'll be glad to tell others about.

My Alaska story began in fourth grade when I watched a National Geographic documentary called Braving Alaska. Something about the wild landscapes, remote country, and sense of adventure captured my imagination and never let go.
The day after graduating high school in Dallas, Texas, I packed up my old Land Cruiser and headed north.
Alaska has been home ever since.
Since arriving in 1999, I've spent more than 25 years living, working, and exploring throughout Alaska. Over the years I've lived completely off the grid, spent time in remote communities, guided rafting and ecotourism trips in the Arctic, and built a life centered around the outdoors and the wilderness that first drew me here.
My path into professional hunting began as an assistant guide, where I spent years learning from experienced mentors before becoming a Registered Alaska Guide-Outfitter and starting Word of Mouth Guiding & Outfitting.
Today, I guide hunters pursuing moose, caribou, and bear across Alaska's Interior and beyond. I enjoy meeting people from all over, sharing this country with them, and helping them have a safe, successful hunt.
